This game is so much fun, and you can play it with anyone; friends, family, colleagues. I played it with family at a holiday get together and it was a blast, especially since there were people from different generations, who could share stories from generations of music.

New favorite game for ages 12-43!!! I bought this game to play with my family, including ages 12-43. I took out about 20 cards out of the deck, including memory prompts about sex, alcohol, drugs, and party life to put aside until we play with the two younger kids. We had an absolute blast playing this game together. We had a portable speaker with an aux cord for Android and a portable Bluetooth speaker for iPhone users. We all used Spotify and played about 30 seconds-to a half of a song and then shared our card prompt and memory/story. We haven’t played any of the seven extra rules or the two variants of the game, which would make it a bit different. I did allow our younger players an opportunity to switch a card with a green prompt like “First kiss” or “Backstage pass” for a different green prompt card more applicable for them. We played about 4 or 5 rounds with 6 people, and went through about 1/3 to 1/2 the deck of green prompts. This was a fun game. There were many songs my various family members have played that were familiar, but I did not know the particular events, feelings, or people they associated with them. Lots of fun and easily made family-friendly. I do suggest this game for ages 12+. Looking forward to playing the rest of the deck. My college-age son is going to take this back to school to play with his friends. The teens/young adults liked playing their songs for us. So communal speakers would be beneficial. You could also easily use one phone, laptop, or device and pass it around for each person’s turn. Alcohol was also a plus for those of age. We weren’t super competitive about winning, but I do suggest if you do want to win, to really play up your story. May the best storyteller win!

This is a really interesting game — I think it’s one best played with dear friends and family. It produces a lot of stories — and some new ones of playing the game!

Everyone has songs that make them smile, cry., laugh out loud, etc. This game uses all of those things and makes a game out of it. Fun for everyone. I can’t wait to take it to my next girls weekend!

This was a really fun game to play. I played it with people I knew well, and not so well and had a great time either way. It’s like those decks of ‘conversation starter cards that everyone has but no one uses because they are awkward… but made into an easy to learn game and including music. LOL. So less awkward and more fun! I recommend this game for sure!

Like Cards Against Humanity, but Song Saga is just so much better. The beauty of Song Saga is the power of music and how it taps into our consciousness or nostalgia that can make us recount memories lost. Also the learning power of the game of what something means to someone. You learn about your fellow players, and that how some of their memories and associated songs will stick with you for years to come. Can also lead you to developing a killer playlist!

This game is genius, because every time someone says they don’t have anything, the song sparks their memory and they’re able to bring up a memory that’s so vivid, so detailed and so interesting. For those hearing the story, the gift is that they learn so much about their friends. I frickin love it.
